As of now, the game is not even a game, it's just a bunch of ideas that I put together and prototype. I think of a mechanic that could be fun, then I prototype that mechanic, then see if it might work.
The current state of the 'game' can be better defined by the things I want it to have rather than what the prototype actually does.
A few things I know:
- I know it'll be an action game, with a very strong RPG influence. There will be quests, levels, equipment, weapons, a sense of character development. I'm thinking about three main classes. I really love this genre so how could I miss it?
- I know it'll be set in the space. You'll be walking on spherical-shaped terrains, like little planets, moons, rocks etc.
- I know you'll have a starship made up of modules you can buy/upgrade.
- I know I won't be deploying this on mobile platforms. I don't think it'll work, at all. This means I won't invest a single second of my time thinking about these. My main target is PC, and probably XBox and/or PlayStation 4.
